Dead The Look #1: Emily Kinney (Beth Greene) .

Hi guys! So here is my first issue in my series 'Dead The Look'. This will be how to dress like, or makeover yourself like, a character on the show, or one of the characters in real life. I will be doing these on females and males, so it benefits the girls and the guys. :)

I chose the beautiful Emily Kinney, who portrayed Beth Greene. So for you girlies out there who loves her style, I hope this can help! I chose Forever 21 for the American fans and Asda for the UK fans, if I could find a substitute on there for that look, I couldn't for all of them. :)

Lets get to it!

Look #1: This look is great for more of a girly girl, but not too girly.

Here I have found pretty good look-a-likes from Forever 21 for you American gals.

Prices: Jumper: $24.90. Jeans: $24.80. Bag: $14.90.

And for the UK girls, here's a great substitute from Asda:

Look #3:

Dress: $18.99. Clutch: $22.90. Shoes: $29.80.
Forever 21.

Look #4: This look is from her music video: Rockstar.

Forever 21:

MTV top you can get off of eBay for $5-$10. Plaid shirt: $19.90. Jeans: $7.90. Pendant necklace: $2.90. Long necklace: $4.90. Shoes: $12.90.

Makeup:

Start off with your favourite foundation, then concealer, Emily has great skin. Take a peach blush and stroke it on the apples of your cheeks and take it up a little. Grab a white eye liner, or shadow and put a little in the corner of your eye, to brighten it up. Get a black eye liner and line your top line and waterline. With a white eye shadow, stroke it on your lid, taking it in-to the crease a little, then get a peach tone and work it in-to the crease, bringing it up and out a little. Grab a not-too-light blue eye shadow and a fine brush and dust a little underneath your bottom lashes. Cote your lashes with black mascara on the top and bottom, or use false eyelashes if needed. Apply a pink lipstick well, try not to go over your lip line. If the lipstick doesn't have a little gloss, either add a tiny bit of lip gloss or balm for a shimmer. Comb your eyebrows and fill them in, if needed.

Hair:
Making sure your hair is clean, brush it well. Taking an inch and a half curling iron, curl parts of your hair, shaking the curls out a little afterwards, so they aren't stiff. Don't use hairspray, it will ruin the look, as Emily's hair is very soft looking. Take two sections near the front of your face, braid each side, then meet them up at the back. I think Emily used bobby pins, that match her hair colour, then pinned her braids back, but be sure to hide the clips under your hair.
Tossle it about and you're done!
Emily is wearing black nail polish, in case you'd like to know.

I hope you liked my first Dead The Look! If you have any requests for 'Dead The Look' issues, let me know in the comments!

Review: The Walking Dead Building Sets by McFarlane Toys - Daryl's Chopper.

Hi guys! So I'm back with my second Blogpost of the week. A review on Daryl's Chopper from the new Building Sets series. Lets get to it!

First of all, here is a photo of what it looks like:
It includes Daryl, his chopper and one walker, the one on the right. I explain later on why there is another walker. :)
This is great quality and I love the detail!

Like the previous building set, it's a grey board with grommets all over. Each individual piece places on-to four grommets, like so. (The set comes with picture instructions)

And voilĂ ! :)

Daryl is great, I believe he comes in a couple pieces, so he has to be put together.

They included his awesome waistcoat!

The walkers are great too!

These two come with the actual set.

Now the grass is really hard to install. Each bit of grass comes with a pointy tip, in which you slot in-to the holes, I'd advise you to start at the back and work your way up, if not, you'll just knock it all over. It gets frustrating if you don't have patience, luckily, I maintained my patience, haha! Tweezers may help. :)

Some holes will be left with-out grass. I can't remember if I chose to do it that way, or if there just wasn't enough grass. I think there wasn't enough grass, I can't remember. Sorry guys!

The railing just slots in-to place like everything else.

Now when I got this for Christmas, I had also been bought a little set of mini figures, that included: Rick, Merle and Three Walkers. I chose to put Rick on the set, as I love Rick and Daryl to always be together, as well as another two walkers.

This is what I did with Merle and the other walker:
I couldn't get the one in blue's legs' to slot in-to the body properly, so I just laid him on my shelf with no legs, as a 'melted in-to the floor' walker. :)

So yeah! That's it!

The only thing I can fault is, like I said, how fiddly the grass is to put in. You could glue it in, if you can't get it to stay. Mine's fine now, as I only move it when I'm dusting it, or the shelf.

I got this off of eBay for £30.00, I'd say you can get it off of Amazon too, as well as ShopTheWalkingDead.com.

I hope you like this review, I'd highly recommend this to any TWD fan! :)

Until next time my walkers... stay alive. ;)
Bye! :)

Review: The Walking Dead Building Sets by McFarlane Toys - The Governor's Room.

Hi guys! I know I'm a little late with my next review, but it's here! A review on The Governors Room from the TWD Building Sets! Let's get to it! :)

First of all, for those who don't know what it looks like, here is a photo:

Now for the details. Basically it comes with a green board with holes all over, with guided instructions, directing you where to put each piece. As you can see, there are grommets all over the individual pieces, all you do is lay it on the appropriate place and push it in to position.

Here's a little table or storage holder I believe.

Then The Governor, his chair and side table! You build the side table yourself, there's a couple bits you put together, the chair slots in-to position and The Governor just sits on top, he is also to be put together.

His undead Daughter, Penny, also comes equipped with her bucket of guts. There's a little clear holder on her foot, to keep her up right. She comes in two halves, cut at the waist. The bag does not remove.

The fish tanks are super cool! The tanks don't come in one block, they are individual. The heads are also not inside the tanks, I randomly selected where I put them. Then you slot them in-to place, either by the photo in the instructions, like me, or how you'd prefer. Then you just add the lids!

They light up too!

The switch is on the left side of the building set.

The other switch is awkward to get to, it's down the side of the grey box on the right hand side. I use a knife to turn this side on. Just be careful that you don't scratch the set or hurt yourself.

The door in which Penny was imprisoned, but the door doesn't lead to a room, it's just for show.

The detail on the wall is great!

Here's a view from the outside of the set.

A back view.

Another view,

A top view,

Overall this is GREAT! I had tuns of fun building this. It took me about 20-30 minutes. It requires batteries, but they come with the set. I leave my lights off though, so it doesn't drain the battery.

I love this whole thing, the detail is great. My only complaint is that the switch for the right side of the fish tank is really awkward to get to, you can pull the piece up to turn the light on, but it may fall apart and you'd have to put it back together again, it'd be awkward, or be difficult to place back down. Other than that, it's rad!

I got mine off of eBay, for £39.99, I'd say you can get it off of Amazon too and also ShopTheWalkingDead.com.

I'd definitely recommend this for all TWD fans, there are a lot of small pieces, so if there are some 'lil asskickers out there, be sure to have adult supervision. :)

I guess that's it! I hope you enjoyed this photo depth review! I found it was easier to mainly do photos for this review, there isn't much to say other than how cool it is and how to put it together. :)

I have tons of figures, so if there's anything precise that you'd like me to review, let me know in the comments. I have tuns of other stuff other than the figures too, so if you don't see what you'd like me to review in the photo, still let me know, as I may still have it. :)

I may review Daryl's Chopper Building Set next. :)
